When fitting oil pressure sensors to high revving, high frequency vibration engines (e.g. bike engines) it is strongly recommended that the sensor be remote mounted away from the vibration of the engine. Our remote mount kit consists of a 50cm length of braided hose, a hexagonal aluminium adapter that has 2x 1/8"NPTF female holes, 1x 1/8"NPTF blanking plug and a rubber-lined 'P'-clip for fixing the sensor to a bulkhead or chassis rail. The aluminium adapter has a connector for earthing the body of the adapter to ground.

The male end fitment that screws into the engine can either be 1/8"NPTF or 1/8"BSPT.

For direct fitment to the majority of Japanese motorcycle engines, the BSPT thread will be required.

For all other applications, the 1/8"NPTF fitting should be selected as this will fit our imperial or metric thread adapters and hence suit various engine applications.
