These torque rods are much stronger than the factory torque rods and keep the rear end precisely aligned.   The use of spherical bearings improves throttle and brake response while removing any binding that you would get with delrin or polyurethane.   They are also adjustable in length which allows for fine tuning of the axles position and pinion angle, which is critically important if a 1 piece drive shaft is being installed.   

Our Heavy duty versions use the same center link but use stronger rod ends made from  higher-strength alloy steel.   The HD version's rod ends are 26% stronger than our standard version.   Most importantly they have a 5/8" bore versus the standard 1/2" bore which allows for a thicker misalignment bushing.    The chassis side connection usually ends up being under torqued or becomes loose with time due to the captured threaded fastener in the frame,  when the bolt loses its preload it becomes a weak point.   The thicker misalignment spacers help spread the load on the bolt.
