The Motobilt 6061-T6 aluminum Jeep CJ/YJ/TJ/LJ below tailgate armor mounts directly below your Jeep's tailgate. This armor is made out of 3/16 inch thick 6061-T6 aluminum that is laser cut in house here at Motobilt. The mounting holes are also counter sunk for a clean finish when installed. There are 8 mounting holes in all.

Like our 3/16" steel armor, this 6061 Aluminum armor's thickness is consistent with our other Jeep body armor, thus maintaining a smooth, clean look overall. It is also much lighter than steel.
