This track bar requires the use of Rusty's HD Track Bar Frame Mount for your application (XJ/MJ/ZJ Applications: RC-TB160-UV) or (TJ/LJ Applications: RC-TB444-TJ). This track bar is NOT compatible with factory track bar mounting location or other after market track bar mounts.

This product is designed for XJ Cherokee/MJ Comanche and ZJ Grand Cherokee models with 4"-4.5" of suspension lift and TJ Wrangler models with 4" or more suspension lift. 

The track bar locates the axle side-to-side in relation to the vehicle's frame. A suspension lift changes the operating angle of the track bar and makes the effective length of the track bar shorter, which shifts the axle off-center. This is very noticeable with lifts over 2 inches. If your vehicle is already lifted, view it from the front and see if the axles are centered underneath the body; more than likely the front axle is shifted over to the driver side.

Most manufacturers include some sort of bracket to lower the track bar mounting point on the frame or raise the track bar's mounting point on the axle. The problem with this method is that the vehicle may get too much or not enough track bar correction using these type of brackets. The additional stress created by the extra leverage of the relocation brackets can also lead to cracks and ultimately failure of the track bar mounts. These brackets also seem to never stay tight and can force the track bar's operating angle to be out of phase with the steering linkage, which creates all sorts of handling quirks.

Due to the popularity of long-travel suspension kits, track bars that use tie-rod style ends to wear quicker and limit travel. With the Rusty's HD track bar system, you will get full suspension travel without binding the track bar. The Rusty's track bar eliminates the tie rod end and has poly bushings at both the axle and the frame end. The track bar is constructed from 1.50" x .250" wall DOM tubing, while both the track bar and the frame mount have a durable black powder coat finish.

Fitment Information:

This product is designed for XJ Cherokee/MJ Comanche and ZJ Grand Cherokee models with 4"-4.5" of suspension lift and TJ Wrangler models with 4" or more suspension lift. 

For applications with 2.5"-5" of suspension lift we suggest using Part# RC-TB122-UV. 

For applications with (stock height) 0"-2.5" of suspension lift we suggest using Part# RC-TB111-UV.
