The OEM intake manifold on the MINI R53 is yet another hidden restriction holding back the performance potential of the engine especially in high-output builds with big valve heads, uprated cams, and pulley mods. There are 2 variants of the TPE inlet manifold; standard and the ported variant. The standard version matches up to the standard cylinder head while the ported variant is ideal for use with the Lohen ported, and is what we'd recommend for maximum power gains and output.
