  • Ensuring rotors are in near-perfect flat condition is crucial, as uneven, grooved, or ribbed surfaces can triple bed-in times for both street and track use.
  • EBC Yellowstuff is a harder, more durable pad, requiring smooth rotors for optimal performance.
  • If resurfacing is needed, EBC strongly recommends using high-quality ON-CAR brake lathes from Pro-Cut for the best results.

• Pad Lifetime

  • Track Use: Inspect pads every 30 laps and replace them when the friction material reaches 3mm (1/8 inch) to prevent brake fade.
  • Street Use: Expect a significantly longer lifespan—20,000 miles or more, even under aggressive driving conditions.

• Cooling & Caliper Drag

  • Simply installing a race pad does not instantly make a street brake system track-ready.
  • Additional cooling ducts may be necessary to prevent excessive heat buildup and extend pad and rotor life during racing conditions.
