Gas tank has a right side petcock location that uses 1975-up tyoe and a fuel capacity of 3.1 gallons. The tank uses the same mounting as an original tank. King gas tank is made 2 wider than stock and includes stock style mounts. Order gas cap separately. Check the tank for flaws and fit before painting. Do not grind or sand the seams or joints. Clean the inside of the tank. It is suggested to pressure test and use a tank sealer. We suggest using Kreem gas tank combo kit to clean condition and seal to help stop leaks and prevent corrosion. Check petcock opening making sure the petcock can be easily installed. Petcock fitting should be masked or plugged during painting for easy installation of petcock. Tank will accept 3/8 petcock. The distance between the tabs on the bottom of the tank measures 2-3/8 and the outside width measures 2-5/8 . *Note: UPS may consider this part as packaged oversize for shipment as compared to the actual weight which will result in higher shipping costs.
