2024 Syvänne Limited Edition: Inner gray topcoat repair kit unavailable from Päijän. Limited edition inner color shade is RAL 7032. You may use another topcoat product, which can be tinted to this shade, for repairs.

How to Use: 

Clean and Sand the Surface: Start by cleaning the area thoroughly to remove any dirt, dust, or debris. Lightly sand the scratched area to smooth out the largest differences on the surface.

Mix the Gel and Hardener: Add 1-2% hardener (MEK-50) to the amount of Topcoat you plan to use. Ensure the working temperature is at least +15°C. Stir the topcoat thoroughly before adding the hardener and mix well afterward. The working time is approximately 30 minutes with a 1.5% hardener ratio at a temperature of 20°C. The working time decreases significantly as the amount of paint increases.

Apply the Mixture: Using a spatula, brush or a similar tool, carefully apply the mixed repair paste to the scratched area. Spread evenly, filling in any imperfections. Allow the Repair to Dry: Let the topcoat dry for at least 4 hours for thin layers, or 6+ hours for multiple thick layers before sanding.

Sand and Polish: After the repair is dry, lightly sand the area with wet sandpaper (grits 400, 800, and 1200) to smooth it out. Finish by polishing the surface with a polishing pad and Frecolan G3 polish for a smooth, shiny finish.

Storage & Cleaning: Store the product tightly closed, away from light, and in a cool place. Clean your tools with acetone. Your boat is now ready for use with a fresh, restored look!
