The GM CAN FD Adapter supports 2020 and newer model year vehicles using the Controller Area Network Flexible Data-Rate protocol, and is an extension to the original CAN Bus protocol that was specified in ISO 11898-1.

The data rate transmits up to 5 times faster than the original CAN data. This allows more data to be sent between modules required on newer vehicles when diagnosing ECUs and programming new modules.

This adapter simply replaces the standard OBD2 Connector on the AutoProPAD main data cable. No other hardware is required. Once installed, the adapter can be used with existing, up-to-date software and can be interchanged with the standard OBD2 connector.
