Forgestar is very excited to launch the ever-popular F14 design in a lightweight format ideal for those who drag race their cars. Currently available in a 15” & 17” diameter, these wheels feature widths that will work for both front and rear drag racing applications. The F14 drag racing form factor is the first of its kind and we’re extremely excited to help high horsepower drag vehicles reach faster 1/4 mile times.

Weight is one of the most significant characteristics when it comes to speed and drag times. With the innovative Rotary Forged technology, this method of manufacturing is revolutionizing the drag racing community creating a product that no one has ever experienced before. 

Typically on a standard wheel, the tire beads onto a smooth metal surface which has a higher potential for slip. With bead seat knurling, this creates a raised and depressed plane that allows for the tire to bite onto a surface with significantly more grip. This is especially important for drag wheels, as the vehicle slams back down from a wheelie it undergoes a tremendous amount of tire flex and wheel stress. With the weight of the engine and torque of an accelerating vehicle, a tire that is improperly seated can be extremely dangerous. 

The new F14 Drag Wheels feature a higher load rating compared to current cast drag racing wheel standards. Forgestar designed drag racing wheels to perform at a higher load rating while optimizing weight with their Rotary Forged process. As a result, vehicles are able to impose significantly more stress on the lighter Forgestar drag wheel compared to current cast drag wheels on the market. 

Forgestar state of the art bead knurling coupled with reduced rolling resistance reduced weight, and reduced aerodynamic drag creates a formula for high-performance drag racing wheel. Often drag wheels can be overlooked as they don’t produce any tangible power numbers.
