The Sapphire Electric Tab Tensioned Recessed Ceiling projector screen is the perfect high-end home cinema screen, and offers you a super quiet and discreet projector screen with a superior viewing experience that will disappear seamlessly into your setting.

It comes with the added feature of superior screen fabric with a unique tension system.Tab-tensioned screens work in the same way as electric wall/ceiling screens, but offer the additional benefit of an inbuilt tension system to ensure a long-lasting and completely flat viewing surface, which creates a theatre-level imaging effect. The material on a Tab Tension screen is not only pulled down by the weighted bar at the bottom of the fabric, but also from the left and right side by a Nylon string. The string is periodically connected to the material via small "Tabs" hence the name Tab Tension. The Sapphire Tab Tensioned screens have a unique ratchet mechanism at each end of the weighted bar so that the tensioning strings can be easily adjusted should the temperature have any effect on the screen material

The soft-touch material is optimised for home cinema use, producing a high contrast and uniform reflectivity. A black PVC backing prevents light leakage so that the screen can be positioned in front of a window. Whilst the black borders surrounding the viewing area add contrast and improve image quality.

The screen is supplied with an Infrared remote control and IR extender so that the screen can be recessed or hidden out of sight. You can also automate the projector screen to drop down when a projector is turned on/off using the supplied 10m trigger cable (projector need a 12v output). Supplied with bear end cables for RS232 and contact closure control.

The unusually quiet operation is due to the unique way that the motor section of the housing is separated from the ceiling section of the housing by a rubber seal. This stops any vibration from travelling through into the ceiling void, amplifying the sound. An issue found with other In-ceiling designs. This along with the trap door mechanism makes this screen the perfect discreet option for projection.

The fabric used is a specially designed PVC material to help capture a flawless and outstanding image. The screen is coated with micron diamond optical microgrooves to help produce a 4K resolution.
