This Vetus Magnus hatch features a satin sheen anodised aluminium profile with a 10 mm thick "dark smoke” coloured acrylic and are designed for ocean use, design category A, Area I. These hatches can be opened from the inside or outside through 180° with almost no obstructions in the opening. They have a ventilation position and can be locked completely watertight. VETUS strongly advises against installing a MAGNUS AI hatch below deck level in areas where (temporary) immersion may occur. When installing a hatch below deck always pay extra attention to the base area because flexing of the hull will compromise watertightness of any hatch.
