- MerCruiser Lower Unit Drive Shaft 45-55757A1 / 45-49139A1 used in all MR/Pre-Alpha lower units 1970-1982 <<<---Please make sure that the one you are replacing has a pre-load pin****
- Normal wear, overall good condition.
- Bearings might be ok on this carrier... but I would recommend replacing them if you are installing this item. Replacing the bearings is always highly recommended. I didn't inspect them closely, so replacing them is completely up to your discretion.

In a nutshell
- DRIVE SHAFT Replaces: 45- & 45-41939A1 For all #1 units S/N 2791957 & above except MR/ALPHA Units or units which have been retro-fitted with MR/ALPHA lower units. Also for 165 (6 cyl.) S/N 2763442 & above.

They used the same lower gearcase with all of the engines so you're particular engine is not applicable so this basically covers (120hp 140hp 4cyl 165hp 6cyl 170hp 305 350 470 2.5L 3.0L 4.3L 5.0L 5.7L V6 V8 etc...
