The Grip X and Grip X2 are Fox's latest generation of fork dampers and are based on the highly successful Grip2. The Grip X2 is the most tunable, supportive, and smoothest descent-focused damper created by Fox. Does your Fox 34 have an older Fit4 or Fit RC2 damper? The Grip X2 is much more sensitive and plush and is a huge upgrade over those older dampers.

Upgrading from a Grip2 damper? The Grip X2 is more sensitive and has a wider range of adjustment. This wider adjustment range is especially beneficial to very light or very heavy riders who find themselves on the end of the Grip2 adjustment range.

To create the ultimate descent-focused damper, Fox sought the level of tunability seen in motocross and supercross racing suspension. Their award-winning Grip 2 damper had a 20 mm base valve diameter and seven valves. Grip X2 scaled up the tunability by increasing the base valve diameter to 24 mm with 23 valves. The result is the most tunable, supportive, and smoothest descent-focused fork damper ever created by FOX. Riders reap the benefits of sitting higher in the travel while tires stay glued to the ground. They can corner with increased traction, giving them the confidence to push the limits of downhill and enduro racing, all while reducing overall rider fatigue.
