An H. L. Leonard 39-5 fly rod, 7'6", 2-piece, 2-tip, built for a #5 line. Serial #1968. Medium slow action. Used but good original condition. The serial number indicates a 1974 manufacture date. Wrapped 326 red with green and red edges at the keeper and ferrules. The keeper is 1 flat right and the serial # is 1 flat left.  Some crazing to the wraps at the ferrules. Standard wheat straw color and three up node pattern construction. The 11 cork cigar grip has been cleaned. Down lock screw lock seat with a butternut spacer. The nickel silver pocket cap is stamped " The H.L. Leonard Rod Co, Makers" in Cartouche.  Comes with the correct yellow poplin bag with stiffener but no hang tag. Original tube with data sticker.
