Gold guide wraps, dark brown at the ferrules. Slim cigar grip, broadleaf maple cap and ring seat. Wood lip acts as the rear cork check in one of the older catskill traditions. Cap is stamped " Ron Kusse, Maker" All brass tube and top. Ferrule fit is tight and all sections are straight. Fast action rod. I don't often admit to professional jealousy but this is the best rod I have ever seen from a maker who recently passed from the scene. Absolutely perfect thin varnish coat on all shafts and reel seat. My hat is off to you Ron, way to put it all together!
