For sale here is a Hardy Bros. Birmingham Composite (or "Half-Ebonite") fly reel. Made between 1880 and 1896 by either David Slater or Malloch. 5" diameter, which is the largest size made. German silver rings, ebonite backplate, two logos on the front plate including the rod in hand logo. Excellent original unaltered condition with amazing leather case for NZ agent Tisdall. No cracks in the ebonite. Mechanically excellent as well. A very scarce reel, especially in this condition! Simply a dream for the collectors out there.
