For sale here is a Hardy St. George reel - 3" diameter with spare spool. The two leather cases for the reels are original, not made by Hardy's but sold by Von Lengerke and Detmold, which is also stamped on the reel. Three screw latch. Original and un-filed ribbed brass foot, which has a faint inscription reading "SLH Ward", presumably the original owner. The duplicated MKII check is very strong - tensioner works perfectly. The agate line guard is unblemished and crack-free. The spare spool is stamped "SS", another characteristic I have yet to see before.
