Paul was extremely excited that he found an experienced machinist who had an interest and passion for fly fishing and for carrying on the historical tradition of crafting hand-made fly reels.

This Sands Large Salmon reel utilizes the same double delrin brake shoe drag as Paul's reels did. The seven-setting adjustable drag is extremely strong at its heavier settings. The side plates and rings are made of anodized aluminum.
