The larger, 14-tooth X-Sync™ lower pulley allows for 10- to 50-tooth cassettes, and also adds to Eagle's overall smooth-pedalling feel. SRAM's new, Type-3 Roller Bering Clutch™ features a smoother torque curve for a quieter, more consistent operation and feel. Cage Lock™ has been moved back and out of the way, protecting it from trail debris. And a redesigned, robust mounting system further improves the Eagle derailleur's performance and overall durability.

Can this derailleur be used with my shifter?
All SRAM Eagle derailleurs are completely intercompatible with SRAM Eagle shifters. Only SRAM AXS (wireless) components have different requirements.

Do I need to replace my chain when I replace the derailleur?
Use a chain wear tool to check the wear on your chain. If the chain is more than 0.5% worn it is recommendable to replace the chain as it will accelerate the wear on the derailleur wheels.
