While retaining the classic Les Paul Junior construction of mahogany bodies and neck with a rosewood fretboard, the guitar has a Billie Joe SlimTaper neck profile and the Gibson P-90DC pickup. The P-90 DC was designed by Gibson Master Luthier Jim DeCola, and its the latest in Gibson hum-cancelling P-90 technology. It features a modernized version of the Sidewinder Dual Coil design that was first developed by Seth Lover in 1958. It still retains P-90 clarity and airiness while reducing the 60-cycle hum you'd generally hear out of the pickup. It's great for plugging into an overdriven amp and keeping things quiet as you can!
