7.3 PCM Reflash Service (1994.5-2003)

If you're looking to have your PCM reflashed to stock—either with the most recent Ford calibration or with a "Gold Standard" calibration that has proven itself over time—this service is for you.

This is also the right choice if you've encountered a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) recommending a flash to fix a specific issue. If so, please include the TSB number in the notes section of the Vehicle Information form.

If you purchased the truck used and suspect that the previous owner installed a tune but kept the tuner, this service will return the PCM to stock.

Important: If you have the tuner and ask us to reflash the PCM to stock, the tuner will no longer work unless you send it back to the manufacturer to be unlocked.

For trucks between 1994.5 and 1996, this service will update the PCM to support full OBDII capabilities with a scan tool. If the "tear tag" on the PCM access cover or connector label reads TDE0/TDE1 (Auto Trans) or MLE0/MLE1 (Manual Trans), no update is needed.

If your truck has a manual transmission and the PCM code is BEGx, which lacks OBDII functionality, this service will make it fully compatible with OBDII tools.

All reflashes include testing the PCM before and after programming to ensure it is functioning correctly.

Please note: Flashing does not resolve other issues with your truck, unless they are related to a specific TSB.
