For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Never Inked Sheaffer Legacy White Dot Limited Edition CP4 Washington Sterling Silver Fountain Pen fitted with an 18K Solid Gold Nib. This fountain pen has never been inked and from a non-smoking person's home. I consider this pen New Old Stock and Mint Condition.

This Limited Edition Fountain Pen is the fourth limited edition from Classic Pens (CP) and is series CP4 Civil War known as the Washington pattern (there is also a Richmond model as well). It was a cooperation between Classic Pens, Sheaffer and Murelli. The series was launched in 1997 and remembers the American Civil War from 1861-1865. The CP4 Civil War pens, Washington and Richmond, were planned as a limited edition of 1865 sets, the year the Civil War ended. In view of Bic taking over Sheaffer just prior to the launch of the series, an agreement was reached by Classic Pens and Sheaffer to produce just 500 sets worldwide. The CP4 pens are therefore more exclusive. The CP4 has a wide cap band that is laser engraved with the CP4 and Lambrou & Brown logos, as well as the edition number. A circular engraving machine dating from 1928 was reactivated from the museum of Murelli and was used exclusively to produce the patterns of the CP4 pens.

This Sheaffer Legacy CP4 displays a beautiful Sterling Silver diamond pattern referred to a "vague" with 23K Gold Electroplated Clip fitted with a solid 18K/750 gold nib. The cap and barrel have absolutely no damage, dents, wear to the finish. This fountain pen has never been inked and in Mint Condition. This Fountain Pen measures 5 1/2" inches capped and 5 3/4" posted.

This writing instrument is a Sheaffer Legacy CP4 Fountain Pen and is a Limited Edition 489 of 500. Again, this Sheaffer Legacy is like new as it has never been inked. The cap has 23K Gold Electroplated spring-loaded clip. "SHEAFFER USA" is stamped on the sides of the cap clip. The cap banding is Sterling Silver and stamped, "SHEAFFER U.S.A. LB (Lambrou & Brown logo) CP4 STERLING SILVER 925". This Sheaffer has the Touchdown Filling system and works as it was designed to - I tested with water and works perfectly. Or one can use Sheaffer ink cartridges.

The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel. The trim is perfect with no scratches or brassing.

The nib is marked 18K Sheaffer 750 and has a Medium point measuring .65mm when measuring with digital calipers. This Sheaffer 18K/750 Medium Nib shows no signs of ever being inked. The Inlaid Nib does show a hint of flex which is unusual for a Sheaffer inlaid Nib - it is a nice surprise.

This Sheaffer Legacy CP4 Washington Fountain Pen does not have the original box or documentation - this is just the Fountain Pen we are selling.

This Sheaffer Legacy CP4 Limited Edition Fountain Pen is a very scarce example and certainly a treasured writing instrument for one's collection. I would consider this Sheaffer Legacy to be New Old Stock, Never Inked and in Mint Condition. A marvelous addition to your writing arsenal collection.
