For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Beautifully Restored Circa 1942 Eversharp Skyline Fountain Pen & Pencil Set with Navy Blue Barrel and Red/Green Celluloid Wide Cap Band Cap. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned, and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, section, breather tube, and barrel. Replaced the old rubber sac with a new, properly sized sac. Hand polished the Gold Filled Eversharp Double Checkmark Clip, Wide Gold Filled Cap Banding, Gold Filled Lever Bar, and 14K NIB. Cleaned, Buffed, & Polished the barrel and cap to bring back the vibrancy and to protect the celluloid of the fountain pen and pencil. The cap displays a red and green pearl striated pattern with a navy blue derby with the barrel being navy blue. This Eversharp Skyline is a standard size that measures 5 1/4" in length capped and 5 7/8" posted. The pencil measures 5 1/4" inches in length.

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The cap has the Eversharp Double Checkmarked gold-filled clip and is in perfect condition with no brassing. The wide gold-filled cap banding is in excellent condition, also, with no brassing. The gold-filled clip edge on the fountain pen and pencil are clearly stamped with, "EVERSHARP SKYLINE PAT. MADE IN U.S.A.", with the front of the clip displaying, "EVERSHARP". There are no monograms or personalizations to the cap or barrel.

The Eversharp Skyline Filling System is a lever filler that works great. I added a new breather tube and sac and will operate for many years to come.

The pencil is a "click-activated" type by pressing the dome down. The lead will repel out the nose cone as it should. The eraser is still securely intact as well.

The Eversharp NIB is a 14K Fine Manifold NIB. The actual writing portion of the 14K Eversharp NIB has a fine point measuring roughly .47mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample, this NIB writes with a fine to medium stroke/line. In the writing sample provided, the fine line measures at .45mm, and the medium stroke measures .66mm with firm pressure when measured with digital calipers. The sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue-black Ink.

The Eversharp box is absolutely pristine and would condition it to be in Near Mint Condition - the same as the set.

This is an Eversharp Skyline Fountain Pen that displays an Ultra-Cool Art Deco design with the less common wide cap banding and ink-view window. I grade this Eversharp in Excellent+ to Near Mint Condition. It is ready to write or just add to your writing arsenal collection.
