For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Solid 18K Gold Masterpiece Sheaffer Imperial TD White Dot Fountain Pen fitted with an 18K Solid Gold Nib & Ballpoint Pen in the Barleycorn pattern. This writing instrument comes with the original box - I consider this pen to be in Mint Condition.

This Sheaffer Masterpiece displays a beautiful 18K Gold Barleycorn pattern fitted with a solid 18K gold nib. The cap and barrel have absolutely no damage, dents, wear to the finish. The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel. The trim is perfect with no scratches. The cap band is engraved with the manufacturer's name, "Sheaffer 18K GOLD MADE IN ENGLAND". This fountain pen has never been inked is in Mint Condition. This Fountain Pen measures 5 3/8" inches capped and 5 7/8" posted. The ballpoint pen measures 5 1/8" in length.

This Sheaffer has a working Touchdown Filling system. I replaced the old rubber sac with a new sac and changed out the old barrel o-ring with a new, properly sized authentic reproduction o-ring. I have restored, greased, and tested the Touchdown Filling mechanism with water and now works as it was intended to.

The nib is marked 18K Sheaffer and has a medium point measuring .70mm when measuring with digital calipers. 

This Sheaffer 18K Masterpiece Imperial Fountain Pen & Ballpoint pen comes with the original wooden box with an engraved brass plate reading, "THE MASTERPIECE 18K GOLD BY SHEAFFER". The elastic bands that hold the pens in place have frayed but other than that it is Excellent.

This Sheaffer 18K Masterpiece Fountain Pen is the Holy Grail when it comes to Imperial Touchdown Fillers and is a very scarce example and certainly a treasured writing instrument for one's collection.
