For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Never Inked Sheaffer Targa Slimline Fountain Pen, Model 1041s, in the Laque Prestige Blue pattern. This fountain pen has never been inked and comes with the scarce Slimline ink converter. This particular model is considered scarce to acquire and was only in production from 1989 to 1991.

This fountain pen was part of a purchase from a Stationary Store in Georgia where I acquired nearly 90 New Old Stock Fountain and Ballpoint Pens in the Targa design - this is just one of them.

This writing instrument is a Sheaffer Targa Slimline Fountain Pen and is model number 1041s with production beginning in 1989 till 1991. Again, this Sheaffer Targa Slimline Fountain Pen is in new old stock condition as it has never been inked. This Sheaffer Targa displays a deep blue with contrasting black bands in a laque finish, with 23-carat gold electroplated trim. The depth and quality of this finish are a result of being individually hand lacquered 14 times and polished to a deep, luminous glow. It is fitted with a 14-carat solid gold medium nib. The top of the cap is stamped, "SHEAFFER U.S.A.". This Sheaffer Targa Slimline will use either an ink converter (which it has) or ink cartridges. The Ink Converter is supplied with this fountain pen which works and I have tested it with water.

The cap and barrel have absolutely no damage, dents, or wear to the finish. The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel. The trim is perfect with no scratches or brassing. This fountain pen has a high-shine finish as it has never been inked and is in Mint, New Old Stock Condition.

This Fountain Pen measures 5 3/8" inches capped and 5 3/4" posted. The diameter of the pen at the widest point is 8.57mm. 

The Sheaffer Inlaid Nib is marked 14K Sheaffer USA 585 and has a medium point measuring .82mm when measuring with digital calipers. This Sheaffer 14K/585 Medium Nib shows no signs of ever being inked. I did not perform a writing sample only to keep this one in New Old Stock, Mint, and in uninked condition for the new owner.

This Sheaffer Targa Slimline Fountain Pen in this Laque Prestige Blue pattern is highly desirable and a very uncommon model to acquire. I would consider this Sheaffer Targa Fountain Pen to be in Mint, Never Inked, New Old Stock Condition. A marvelous addition to your writing arsenal collection.
