For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Beautifully Restored 1946 Parker Emerald Pearl Celluloid Fountain Pen. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned, put back together, and now is in wonderful writing condition. 

NOTE: The Emerald pearl coloring is spectacular on this pen. The gold-filled trim displays no wear and shines brightly. 

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, section, breather tube, and barrel. Replaced the old diaphragm with a new, properly sized one. Hand polished the Gold Filled Split Arrow Clip, Gold Filled Two-Ring Cap Banding and the 14K NIB. Cleaned, buffed, and polished the barrel, cap, and blind cap to bring back the vibrancy and to protect the material of the fountain pen. This Parker Vacumatic is a major size (but known as a Junior due to the 2 Ring Cap Banding) that measures 5 1/8" in length capped and 6" posted.

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in superb condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The cap has the split arrow gold-filled clip and is in perfect condition with no wear. The 2-ring cap banding is in excellent condition with no wear. The top jewel is black and has been polished to bring back a gorgeous shine. The barrel has a clearly stamped imprint with, "Geo. S. Parker Vacumatic Made in U.S.A. with a date code 6 (for 1946) in the 3rd quarter". The transparency of the barrel is near water clear, albeit with mild to medium ambering. The blind cap securely fits. There are no monograms or personalizations on either the cap or barrel.

The Vacumatic Filling System works great, typically in my tests with water about 7-8 presses to fill full. I have greased the filling unit so it operates smoothly and now operates flawlessly.

The Parker NIB is a 14K gold Split Arrow Medium Point NIB. The actual writing portion of the 14K Parker NIB has a medium point measuring roughly .75mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample, this NIB writes with a fine to double broad line variation. The fine line/stroke measures at .48mm with light pressure and will flex to 1.71mm when measured with digital calipers under medium to firm pressure. The nib writes with a wet and semi-flex line that performs very smoothly. The sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Montblanc Blue Ink.

This is a Vintage Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen that displays extremely vibrant Emerald Pearl color with a great performance nib. I grade this Parker Vac in Excellent Condition. It is ready to write with or just add to your writing arsenal collection.
