For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Beautifully Restored and Uncommon 1946 Parker Candian Azure Pearl Celluloid Junior (Two-Ring Cap Band) Fountain Pen. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned, put back together, and now is in wonderful writing condition.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the feed, section, breather tube, and barrel. Replaced the old diaphragm with a new, properly sized one. I hand polished the gold-filled Split Arrow Clip, gold-filled 2-ring cap banding, and 14K Canadian nib. I cleaned, buffed, and polished the barrel, cap, and blind cap to bring back the vibrancy and to protect the celluloid of the fountain pen. This Parker Vacumatic is known as a Junior due to the two-ring cap banding and no blue diamond clip but is in the major size that measures 5 1/8" in length capped and 6" posted. 

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The cap has the split arrow gold-filled clip in excellent condition with no gold fill loss. The cap banding is in excellent condition with no brassing displayed. The top jewel is black and has been polished to bring back a gorgeous shine. The barrel is lightly stamped with, " MADE IN CANADA PARKER VACUMATIC PAT. NO. 318982 with the date code 6 (for 1946) in the 2nd quarter". The transparency of the barrel is good as one can see through the barrel but has medium ambering. The blind cap securely fits. There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel.

This 3rd Generation Parker Vacumatic has the correct plastic filling unit typical of this production. I have greased the filling unit so it operates smoothly. The Vacumatic Filling System works very well, in my tests with water about 7-8 presses to fill full.

The Fountain Pen has a 14K Parker Split Arrow NIB that is semi-flexible/smooth and Made in Canada which matches up with the pen body. The actual writing portion (iridium) of the 14K Parker NIB has a medium point measuring roughly .70mm when measured with digital calipers. When creating a writing sample, the NIB writes with a fine to double broad/triple stroke line. In the writing sample provided, the fine line measures at roughly .57mm, and the double/triple broad stroke line measures 1.75mm when measured with digital calipers under medium to firm pressure. The sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.

This is a Vintage Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen displaying a vibrant Azure Pearl color. This is a Canadian Vacumatic which is certainly uncommon and a serious collector variant. When you factor in the Vacumatic nib flexibility, it is a Parker that is sought after.  I would easily grade this Parker in Very Fine to Excellent Condition.
