For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Near Mint Circa 1995 Sheaffer Legacy White Dot Black Lacquer & Palladium Electroplated Cap Fountain Pen fitted with an 18K Solid Gold Medium Nib. This fountain pen has been cleaned, buffed, and polished and is now back in excellent writing condition. I consider this pen to be in Near Mint Condition with the original box with Sheaffer Legacy literature.

This Sheaffer Legacy displays a Black Lacquered Barrel with a Palladium electroplated cap with 23K gold electroplated trim fitted with a solid 18K/750 gold nib. The cap and barrel have absolutely no damage, dents, or wear to the finish. This fountain pen has been inked before but by judging the pen it has been used very little and is in Near Mint Condition. This Fountain Pen measures 5 1/2" inches capped and 5 3/4" posted.

This writing instrument is a Sheaffer Legacy Fountain Pen and is model number 841 with production from 1995 to 1999. The cap is palladium electroplated with a 23K gold electroplated spring-loaded clip. "SHEAFFER USA" is stamped on the sides of the cap clip. The cap banding is 23K gold electroplated displaying no wear. This Sheaffer has the Touchdown Filling system and works as it was designed to - I tested it with water, and works perfectly. The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel. The trim is perfect with no scratches or brassing.

The nib is marked 18K Sheaffer 750 and has a medium point measuring .73mm when measuring with digital calipers. When creating a writing sample, the NIB writes with a smooth medium stroke measuring between .70mm to .81mm stroke with firm pressure when measured with digital calipers. The writing sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Namiki Black Ink.
