For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Circa 1927 Waterman Red Ripple Mechanical Pencil with gold-filled trim.

The barrel is made of red ripple ebonite (hard rubber) with an 18K gold-filled cap band, clip, and nosecone. The trim has been polished to a bright shine - there is minor wear on the ball of the clip. The pencil displays no chips, cracks, or repairs. There are no personalizations or monograms on this pencil. The pencil is in Very Fine condition.

This Waterman Pencil repels the lead as it was designed and comes with lead in the pencil for use. The pencil takes 1.1mm leads

The pencil measures 5 9/16" inches in length. 

These Waterman Red Ripple Mechanical Pencils in larger sizes are difficult to acquire. This size pencil would be a match for a Waterman 55 or 56 fountain pen. I would consider this Waterman pencil in very fine working condition.
