For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Never Inked Limited Edition Montblanc George Bernard Shaw Fountain Pen fitted with an 18K medium nib from the 2008 Writer's Series collection. This particular pen is limited edition number 14923 out of 16000. This pen comes with the original boxes, Montblanc Literature, and the original nib sticker affixed to the blind cap. This fountain pen has never been inked, is considered in Mint Condition. 

The fountain pen displays dark green marbled lacquer punctuated with platinum-plated fittings. These are the style features of the Writers Edition in honor of the distinguished Irish free thinker George Bernard Shaw. This pen is inspired by Shaw’s best-known character from his play “Pygmalion” - Eliza Doolittle. Just as Eliza, a poor flower girl, is brought up to be an aristocratic lady, the fine platinum of the pen is replaced more and more towards the cap by the opulent dark green of the precious resin. This deep, marbled green, indeed, originally represents the lush green meadows of Ireland that Shaw left behind. 

Launched in 2008, the George Bernard Shaw Limited Edition Fountain Pen body displays a dark green marbled luxury resin with platinum-plated fittings. The Montblanc snow cap at the top of the cap is made of ivory-colored antique resin. The cap and barrel are in excellent condition with no cracks, nicks, dings, dents, scratches, or repairs. The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel. The fountain pen measures 5 3/8" capped and 6 3/8" posted. The left cap side displays the limited edition number 14923/16000, and the right side of the cap displays Shaw's sweeping signature. 

The George Bernard Shaw Fountain Pen comes with the original boxes and literature you see in the images, which are all in excellent condition.

This Montblanc fountain pen uses a piston filling system that I have tested with water and works as it was designed to. I have taken apart the piston to clean and grease it along with cleaning the inside of the barrel. The piston works as it should and smoothly. Additionally, when removing the piston and nib from the pen, there were never any traces of ink. This is how I have concluded the fountain pen has never been inked and is in Mint condition.

This pen has an 18K gold, platinum-plated nib that pays homage to Eliza Doolittle's flower as the theme for the pattern on the nib. The design is one of the most beautiful I've seen so far on these Writer's Series nibs, delicate and well-detailed. The nib is engraved with "4810, 18K/750, Montblanc, 2008". The Montblanc NIB's writing portion (iridium) measures roughly .81mm when measured with digital calipers.  This nib is designated as a Medium, which matches the medium nib sticker adhered to the pen. I never inked the pen to keep it in New Old Stock, Mint, Never Inked Condition. 

The George Bernard Shaw Writer's Series Fountain Pen is a sophisticated design that gets overlooked compared to other Writer's Series pens.
