For your consideration, we are offering for sale this 2006 Pelikan Souverän M625 Transparent Dark Blue Fountain Pen with Sterling Silver trim fitted with an 18C Medium Nib. This pen has been inked only once for a writing sample and is in Mint Condition. It comes complete with its original box, clip tag, and Pelikan literature.

The M625 in Transparent Dark Blue is the first model in a series of three M625 fountain pens introduced by Pelikan. This version debuted in 2006, followed by Transparent Red in 2007 and Transparent Aubergine in 2008. The M625 series has since been discontinued, making these pens increasingly collectible.

What sets the M625 apart from the rest of the M6xx family is its sterling silver construction—the cap, section, and piston knob are all crafted from solid sterling silver (Ag 925), giving it more heft than the standard M600 series fountain pen. The cap features enameled dark blue bands and is topped with the classic one-chick Pelikan logo. Unlike other M6xx models, there are no trim rings at the piston knob or section.

The translucent barrel is a deep, dark blue and has a highly polished finish. The cap threads secure to the barrel every time. There are no chips, cracks, dings, dents, monograms, or personalization to either the cap or barrel. The pen remains in Mint condition throughout. It measures 5 1/4" capped, 6 1/8" posted, and weighs 1.03 ounces.

The pen is fitted with an 18C-750 rhodium-plated gold nib in a medium point, measuring approximately .84mm using digital calipers. I only dip-tested this pen with Faber-Castell Cobalt Blue ink for the writing sample shown in the photos. The nib performs beautifully with a smooth writing nib, producing a line range from a fine (.53mm) to a medium (.74mm) with medium to firm pressure. 

The piston filling system operates flawlessly in my tests with water only. It is smooth, responsive, and in perfect working order.

Included with this pen are the original Pelikan presentation box, clip tag, and literature, all in excellent condition.

This is an uncommon and desirable Pelikan M625, especially as the first model in the series. It’s a beautiful writing instrument that’s both functional and collectible—an ideal addition to any collection or a thoughtful gift to be treasured for generations. In Mint Condition, it’s ready to write or proudly display.
