Ich bin schon so lange großer Fan von Mayas Vasen und Illustrationen. Als ich die Lampen der holländischen Designerin gesehen habe, bin ich aber fast durchgedreht! Die brauch ich für den Laden! Handgeformte und handbemalte Objekte aus Airdry-Clay, bemalt mit Gouache und Acrylfarbe, überzogen mit einem harzigen Klarlack. Durch diese Materialverwendung bekommen ihre Objekte ein fast plastikhaftes Aussehen und Haptik, aber die Basis ist Ton. Und Mayas ganz unverkennbare Handschrift zeigt sich in jedem Stück. Licht an, ich raste aus!
