Overview

Must-have Crosshatch Triggerfish Perfect For Gifting [tEA9iFGz] are sexually dimorphic. The males are yellow in color and can range from a vibrant hue to a darker golden coloration. Their tails are a brilliant blood red which earned them an alternate common name of Redtail Triggerfish. Females are also yellow, but lack the red tail. Both sexes have horizontal blue lines along their faces and a multitude of crosshatch shaped lines covering their bodies. Juveniles will be more green in color. They have wonderful, interactive personalities and will frequently swim to the front of the tank when people are near. 

More peaceful in nature than other triggerfish, they can be housed with a variety of tankmates, aside from fish that can fit in their mouths. Unlike many other triggerfish, they are not known for harming coral or other sessile invertebrates, though at their adult size they may still rearrange rocks and other decor while swimming around the tank and can inadvertently damage a reef that way. 

They are not picky in the slightest and will consume a wide variety of carnivorous foods, both live and frozen. They should be fed krill to wear down their teeth, and as a bonus the krill will also naturally improve their coloration.
