The GEN 3.0, Thinket® Now (Carved Chantique, Gold & Shadow) is machined from solid Brass for the custom, hand-stamped & carved Copper-plated and heat-patina treated Handle, #6061 Aluminum for the 24 Kt. Genuine Gold and Heat-Patina treated, hand-stamped Slider-Heads, while the limited production-run Slider-Tube is machined from #304 Stainless-Steel, then sandblasted to a fine, satin-porcelain-like finish and plated with a Black, diamond-hard PVD / DLC coating.

IMPORTANT: Please note that the images shown here of the heat-patina treated components show some examples of the effects that can occur with the surface distressing and heat-patina treatment processes. The finish colors and surface textures may differ widely from one Thinket to the next.

The specially grooved, 24 Kt genuine Gold-plated & hand-stamped, Heat-Patina treated, GEN 3.0 Slider-Heads are designed to accommodate 15mm O-Rings for a new haptic effect called a "reassuring-thud." The hand-stamped images on these rare limited edition Slider-Heads represent a Sunburst icon on one Head and a Compass icon on the other.

Please note that the dense, hand-carved & stamped pattern in the copper-plated surface of the solid-Brass GEN 3.0 Handle varies from one piece to another, so that each of these creations is a unique, limited edition object, different from the other pieces in the series.

* IMPORTANT: "Please note that the Black PVD / DLC plating on the special limited production-run Slider-Tube is a diamond-hard, satin-like textured coating, and during use the Slider-Tube accumulates a fine translucent Brass patina from the Handle's inner flared #260 Brass Sleeve assembly. That translucent patina is similar to a kind of "brass-rubbing" effect." Please see the last example picture of a Black PVD / DLC coated Slider-Tube showing that translucent brass patina.

This newest Thinket form-factor adds a "reassuring-thud" effect to the soothing action called a "satisfying-bounce" that has always been delivered by every Thinket stress-relief device). The "reassuring-thud" effect was the primary motivation behind the most recent Thinket Kickstarter project called ("The Thinket Now, GEN 3.0), which was launched, funded, and successfully fulfilled in 2018.

The special new "thud" sensation is achieved by means of the custom-machined O-Ring grooves in the GEN 3.0 Slider-Heads; and O-Rings are included with each Thinket for use in those grooves.
