This beautiful Dragonfly Fossil is a well preserved, extinct species of dragonfly inlaid in Solnhofen limestone from Germany. This formation is the most famous locality for rare, fossilized dragonflies. This piece is a part of a fossil assemblage and measures approximately 10” x 5.5”.

Fossil insects are not found in as many deposits or localities as most other invertebrates.
