Black and white antique map of the Atlantic coast side of Cape Cod by the US Coast and Geodetic Survey, surveyed in 1887-1888 and published in their report of 1889. This map shows the transects set up in 1888 to document shoreline erosion. Many of these points have been relocated & serve as anchors to show rates of erosion. Very good overall antique condition with some tiny spots and slight image transfer (aka ghosting). Measures approx. 8 x 25.5 inches to neatline.
