CYPELEC Networks

CYPELEC Networks is a program created to analyse power systems in electrical networks and aid designers with the analysis and design of high/medium and low voltage installations.

The design checks carried out by the program are based on the specifications of the NFPA 70 National Electrical Code (NEC).

It has a simple graphical interface that allows users to easily create and edit power diagrams and single line diagrams. It incorporates a large variety of electrical equipment to create diagrams such as, for example, power supplies, generators, two and three winding transformers, low and medium voltage cables, high voltage transmission lines, capacitor banks, electrical loads and motors, etc., as well as protection devices and other electrical switchgear.

CYPELEC Networks analyses of the load flow and calculates the voltages and phase shifts in buses, the currents in lines and branches, and the active and reactive power flows of the electrical system.

CYPELEC Multiline

CYPELEC Multiline is a program that generates the circuit diagram of an electrical installation. To do so, the program has two complementary work modes:

Manual layout - Users are responsible for manually introducing the elements and drawing the connection lines that make up the installation.
Automatic import - An IFC filecan be imported into the program via "BIMserver.center". This IFC must contain the BIM model of a single-line diagram and the connection information between phases for each single-phase or three-phase line.

Any program that is capable of exporting an IFC containing information on the single-line diagram and that is included in the Open BIM workflow will be able to benefit from the results output of CYPELEC Multiline. The CYPE programs that generate this information are indicated in the "Advantages of CYPELEC Multiline" section.

CYPELEC Distribution

"CYPELEC Distribution" is a program with which users can obtain the distribution of circuits and loads for electrical installation projects.

CYPELEC Switchboard

CYPELEC Switchboard has been created to design the enclosures that are present in electrical installations (cabinets, panels, switchboards...).

CYPELEC PV Systems

CYPELEC PV Systems is a tool to assist users in the design of grid-connected photovoltaic systems (amongst which are self-consumption installations) as well as off-grid photovoltaic installations systems.

CYPELEC Core

An accessible user interface with multiple editing aids –preconfigured switchboards, groups of lines, predefined circuits, copy, paste, move and match properties; undo-redo and new installation components (capacitor banks, LV/LV transformers, etc.)

CYPELEC Electrical Mechanisms

The program has a graphical interface that allows electrical mechanisms and lighting points to be entered on absolute coordinates in the space.

To do this, there are two data entry modes:

BIM model - The entry options can be found in the “BIM model” section of the top menu bar and directly lead to the structure of the BIM model.
Elements - The entry options can be found in the “Elements” section of the top menu bar and users can enter the mechanism and lighting points in the floor plan being displayed. The data entered in this way will also appear in the BIM model table.

CYPELEC Grounding IEC

CYPELEC Grounding IEC allows users to calculate grounding resistance in electrical installations based on the IEC 60364-5-54 standard.

IEC 60364-5-54 addresses grounding installations and protective conductors, including equipotential bonding conductors, with a view to ensuring the safety of the electrical installation.

Open BIM Lightning

Open BIM Lightning is a general use application that allows the design and calculation of lightning protection installations in any type of building, complying with the requirements set by the user.
