Welcome to our July patina GMTO with Chris Dillon of American Patina, an old friend and patina partner. Years ago, we did a few patina collaborations with Chris; they were the first of our collabs to launch the idea of patina for J.FitzPatrick in the US, as we had previously explored patina with Dandy Shoe Care when we were based in the UK -- You can see that patina has long been a part of the J.FitzPatrick ethos!

This "Montlake" double monkstrap was inspired by an Italian monkstrap design observed by our founder Justin FitzPatrick well over a decade ago, leading him to create his own version of this chiseled, apron-stitched double monkstrap.

Goodyear welted construction, a hand-stitched front apron detail, and of course the hand-applied patina come together to create this Montlake monkstrap with a fine design, hardy build, and elegant appearance.
