This Original-Style Stainless Steel Bowl uses a special dough hook that drives from the bottom of the bowl. This bowl comes with its own dough hook, which does an outstanding job of kneading. The bottom-drive design provides a little extra dough capacity because there is no center column as in the standard bowl. This stainless bowl also includes splash ring and center cover.

The bowl fits on the Bosch Universal mixer's low speed drive (the same place the standard plastic mixing bowl mounts). Whips, whisks and cookie paddles cannot be used with this bowl because it's built without the center drive column. The bottom drive shaft pops out of its socket with a smack from the palm of your hand, for easy cleaning. Putting a drop of vegetable oil on the O-rings after washing will make them last a long time.
