As part of Collect Mills, Momotaro have the freedom and equipment to design and develop their own custom fabrics in-house, allowing them to produce highly unique and technically advanced fabrics at a fraction of the cost. This freedom defines much of Momotaro's brand, and everything they produce is a wonderful blend of incredible textiles and masterful craftsmanship.

The 0405 "High Tapered" fit little brother jean of the natural taper, fitting a touch slimmer in just about every aspect - with a slightly less high rise, more snug thigh, and an aggressive taper down to a fitted leg opening. Falling more readily into the category of "skinny jean", the High Tapered runs on the smaller side, and we generally suggest folks go up a size for the best fit.

Momotaro's flagship fabric is a 15.7oz custom selvedge denim, developed and produced in-house at Collect Mills. This low-tension weave denim is spun from long staple Zimbabwean cotton that is both stronger and more softer than comparably heavy fabrics made from shorter staple cotton. The uneven weave lends itself to irregularities and variation throughout the fabric, with a slubby texture that only gets more interesting with wear as the indigo dye fades down.

Painted across the right back pocket are Momotaro's iconic "Going to Battle" stripes, which will chip and fade over time alongside the denim.

These run small, and will will shrink about 1 full size upon washing. We suggest going up 2 sizes from your usual waist for the most comfortable fit long term. Wash cold and hang dry.
