Portable 80th Anniversary Edition 1/300 Scale Uss Johnston (dd-557) Destroyer Military Building Blocks No Hidden Fees [U2vqdewy]

Designed and licensed by ny152_halle, this product is based on the design of the WWII American destroyer USS Johnston. Now resting at the bottom of the Philippine Trench, the product replicates various features like the deck cannon and propeller shaft.

USS Johnston (DD-557) was a Fletcher-class destroyer built for the United States Navy during World War II. She was named after Lt. John V. Johnston, an officer in the U.S. Navy during the American Civil War. Johnston's keel was laid in May 1942, and she was launched on March 25, 1943. She entered service on October 27, 1943, under the command of Lt. Cmdr. Ernest E. Evans, and was assigned to the U.S. Pacific Fleet. During the Gilbert and Islands campaign of January and February 1944, Johnston provided naval arms support to U.S. ground forces. After three months of patrol and escort duty in the Solomon Islands, she again provided arms support during the recapture of Guam in July. Johnston then escorted escort carriers during the Mariana and Palau Islands campaigns and the liberation of the Philippines.

Johnston's wreck was discovered on October 30, 2019, but it was not correctly identified until March 2021. Lying over 20,000 feet (6,100 m) beneath the sea surface, it was the deepest wreck ever surveyed until the discovery of the USS Samuel B. Roberts on June 22, 2022, which sank during the same battle.
