The cover assembly was created to be the top protective cover for the PoolVac XL in a 3-part series of body pieces all of which play a major role in protecting the internal parts of this suction cleaner. The cover also has an opening in its center so that way the cone gear may reside and rise out of its top so that way it can connect to the hose assembly where it gets the suction power from.

The part is silver to match the color scheme of the cleaner and snaps onto the top side of the PoolVac Xl handle assembly, also this cover has the Hayward logo on its front side which helps to identify it when looking at the cleaner.
