While riding is a dangerous sport and nothing is fail proof, the Seaver brand's SAFEFIT airbag is a great option in the airbag category.   Holding the highest level of European safety certifications - the new NF certification (S72-800:2022) and CE marking - the vest has ultra-fast inflation speed between 90 et 170 ms) and is designed to protect the back, lumbar area, neck, cervical spine, rib cage, pelvis and sacrum.  The vest is also said to have reduced noise levels on activation and the smallest cartridge on the market.

Importantly (especially on hot days), the vest is the said to be the lightest on the market at under 600 grams.  Microperforated stretchy fabric allows for good ventilation as well as optimal freedom of movement.  Wear this piece over clothing or under approved showcoats (which include Cavalleria Toscana and Dada Sport). 

Included in the purchase of this vest, is a cute branded storage backpack for the piece and a CO2 cartridge and cord to connect the vest to your saddle.  Also included is a three year subscription to the SAFERIDE app (available on iOS and Android) which includes fall detection and geolocation features, among others, for both riders and their loved ones' peace of mind.  An activation code is included with each vest.

Care:  Do not machine wash or tumble dry. Brush the vest with a slightly damp stiff bristle brush. Air dry, preferably on a hanger. Do not immerse the airbag. The fabric is weatherproof.
