The Wolfgang guitar is the brainchild of the legendary Eddie Van Halen, and has been through different incarnations and manufacturers since the mid 1990s. This model is the Wolfgang Standard, under his EVH brand operated by Fender. The Wolfgang Standard features a non-carved top, as opposed to tops featured on the USA and Special series Wolfgangs, which is a major contribution to affordability. The guitar does share similar key features to its higher line counterparts - Basswood body, Wolfgang profile Maple neck, and Floyd Rose bridge. Two direct mount EVH pickups deliver the iconic "Brown Sound" associated with Van Halen himself.
